 Tonight we dined at The Muddy Pig. A bar that came highly recommended by our friend Josh that showed us around town. The food and drink exceeded our expectations, especially the Bratwurst with sauerkraut and cheese! Old style bar, with the pig mascot appearing in many forms in unexpected corners.   ...and I thought this photo was a failure  At the Minnesota Center for Book Arts in Minneapolis Today I had the chance to visit the Minnesota Center for Book Arts, and was given a tour by the very friendly artists teaching there and producing artwork at the Center's printing workshop. I was impressed by the facilities, and the way the Center is organised in order to function as a hub for the artists of the area and support their creative endeavours. The Center also has a large shop featuring a great collection of artist books and prints from artists all around the US. Hope to visit again soon!  "Open Book Jerome Artist" by Mary Hark and Mary Jo Thompson In the main area of the Center an artwork was the first thing that caught my attention. A large scale work comprised of various materials, fabric, different kinds of paper, thread and text was a kind of a cross between an artist book and a patchwork.  "Indeed Brewing Company", Minneapolis, Minnesota In Minnesota small breweries producing high quality beer pop up like mushrooms. Main reasons are the easy access to the manufacturing ingredients and the long standing beer brewing tradition of the Midwest. In the evening we had a beer, or two :), enjoying the pleasant vibes of the "Indeed Brewing Company" bar. The brewery and the bar co-exist in a re-purposed industrial building. If we weren't leaving soon, I would love to benefit from the tours inside the brewing facilities that are organised weekly.
