JOURNAUX INTIMES
Installations
The work developed during the final year of studies at the Athens School of Fine Arts and culminated in the presentation of a series of site-specific installation works, all of which were visual interpretations of phrases deriving from the literary work Journaux Intimes by the French poet Charles Baudelaire. From typographic play with the text reminiscent of Visual Poetry, to transformation of word into abstract form, the installations aspire to deliver a reading of Baudelaire’s poetry into space.

The text Ne méprisez la sensibilité de personne. La sensibilité de chacun, c'est son génie. is transformed into a building block used to construct a column with a form reminiscent of the structure of DNA. The column can theoretically itself become a building block in a structure, in an endlessly recurring procedure. Below are pictures illustrating the process.
