NO WATER, THE WALL CARVINGS
Documented material, Memorial Site 1941-1944 10 wall carvings found in the former Nazi detention facilities in Athens were interpreted as flour drawings onto the city pavements and squares, in 19 locations along the path of the intervention/ performance of March 26.
In the process of interpreting the carvings as flour drawings, the original carvings' design served as a blueprint. The wall carvings were documented during four photographic sessions in the Memorial Site 1941-1944, from December 2014 to March 2015, after obtaining permission from the administration of the monument. Here is presented part of the material drawn over these four documentation sessions. |
