ONOMATOPOEIC (2013)
According to Plato onomatopoeic words are the only ones that convey the true nature of things. In his dialogue "Cratylus" the creation of a new language is proposed consisting of words evoking stability and revealing the true nature of things.
Onomatopoeic is a series of works with a visual vocabulary combining geometry, monochromatic surfaces of powdered pigment and handmade paper. The series' name echoes the term used to describe words that literally sound like what they mean. Below is shown part of the series.
