Project description
There is a long path in the park with numerous gauging stations for the water level along it. These cement constructions are in discordance with the beauty of the site and disrupt the unity of the natural surroundings. The project would involve installing two white marble cubes a little larger than the stations in size at either end of the path. The walker's encounter with the marble cube before any of the stations along the path would anchor it as a point of reference, forming his/her perception of the cement constructions that follow. After the visual input from the marble cube, encountering a station would recall the idea of its cubic form, its Euclidian equivalent, and mask the offensive visual character of the construction.
